Karaoke Dance Party!! Can you dig it??

Come one, come all, to New City Library's meeting room for the Karaoke Dance Party!  3:00pm Friday, July 12.  There will be thousands of songs to choose from, including hits from your favorite stars.........Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, One Direction, Justin Bieber, Disney....the list goes on and on!  Since we have the big room, we can have a big party!  Disco lights, glow sticks, snacks.  Bring your friends, neighbors, family and dancing shoes!  Plenty of spaces left for dropping in if you can...be there or be square!

ENCHANTED LEARNING

The library's summer reading program is in full swing!  As you 'Dig In', you might just bump into a few unexpected creatures.  Check out Enchanted Learning's website to learn more about these burrowing animals that live underground, such as ants, cicadas, badgers, groundhogs, moles, woodchucks, and many more.  Interesting details include each animal's anatomy, diet and habitat as well as printable pictures to color.  Want to learn even more?  Come on in and browse the library's non-fiction shelves for these titles:

Summer Reading Club

Come on in and pick up your Summer Reading Club packet at the children's desk and get started!  Book reporting starts July 1.  There will be weekly prizes, special programs, and an army of ants before we finish up August 23.  All children in the New City Library district ages 2 & up can join.  Let's get reading!

Time to Rock the Garden!

Calling all Garden Rockers kids, Clarkstown Garden Club members, and other dirt enthusiasts!  We will be weeding and planting in the Children's Garden today at 6:30pm.  Our community support has been very strong donating plants and flowers - so bring your gloves and come on over!  To celebrate this beautiful space and thank our volunteers,we will host a Garden Tea Party on June 8 and 9 at 3:00pm. Please plan to join us then to sip tea from a real teacup and daintily munch a cucumber sandwich as you enjoy our beautiful garden!  Wearing fancy hats is encouraged!

Rootin' Tootin' Roundup!

There are still a few spots open for tomorrow's preschool cowpoke program!  Call x121 or drop by to register!  The program will take place at 1:30pm on Tuesday May 14 - we'll hear stories, make a cowpoke vest, have a snack and ride swim noodle horses!

CaribbeanInstead of heading home after school on Friday May 10th,  how about taking an imaginary trip to the Caribbean through stories, songs and a craft?   Registration begins Wednesday April 24th.  Open to children in grades 2-4.
