As a member of any library in the RCLS system, including New City Library, you have an account number. Your number is the barcode on the back of your library card.

If you click on the My Account button at the top of the website, you will be brought to a screen that asks for your barcode number and a pin. Your pin number is the last four digits of your phone number, unless you choose to change it.
How do I request an item? back to top
On every item record on the right there is a link that says 'Place Hold'. Click this link. Enter your barcode number from the back of your library card. Your PIN is the last 4 digits of your phone number. Click login. The next page will tell you what you're trying to reserve, where you will be on the queue and whether you will be alerted by phone or e-mail. Confirm the request by clicking 'Place Request'. The next screen will confirm your request and direct you back to the catalog.

Choose the My Account link at the top of this page. Enter your barcode number from the back of your library card. Your PIN is the last 4 digits of your phone number. Click login. You will see an overview of your account. In the green bar at the top of the screen is a choice marked 'Holds', click on it. The screen will show you what you have available to pick up and what you are still waiting for.

Choose the My Account link at the top of this page. Enter your barcode number from the back of your library card. Your PIN is the last 4 digits of your phone number. Click login. You will see an overview of your account. In the green bar at the top of the screen is a choice marked 'Checked Out', click on it. Each item listed as a check box next to it on the left. Choose the items you want to renew and click on the boxes next to them. Then click on the 'Renew' button at the top of the list.
If you have more than $5 in overdue fines or ANY one item more than 7 days overdue, you will not be allowed to renew any items.

You will see an overview of your account. In the green bar at the top of the screen is a choice marked 'Fines/Blocks', click on it. A list will appear showing what fines you own and if you have any other blocks.
